“I Can’t” is dead, long live “I Can”

I was cleaning — and I use the term loosely — this evening when I stumbled on my old copy of “Chicken Soup for the Soul.” Have you read it? There are some amazing stories in there. It’s a great source of inspiration.

I’m giving up oxygen

I am a crier. Which means, it looks like I’m going to be giving up oxygen for the next however many days are on that little countdown gizmo off to the right. Plus three.

When life gets in the way …

Life is already a balancing act. Throw in something like the Arizona 3-Day and dang, keeping all those balls in the air can be difficult, but perspective is everything.

My sister gave me an awesome laptop skin for Christmas. It’s by Curly Girl Design, and says, “I am fairly certain that given a cape and a nice tiara, I could save the world.” Throw in a pair of walking shoes, and yeah, I think maybe I can.

Buckets for the Cure

In case you haven’t heard, KFC is looking to make a huge donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. It’s called Buckets for the Cure. The goal is $8.5 million and they need your help to hit it.

Invest in life

Donating your tax refund, even just a portion of it, might not sound as fun as shopping spree, but is there any greater high than helping somebody? Maybe even saving a life?
